Il diplomatico ha spiegato che la Cina è delusa dal fatto che alcuni paesi non riescano a valutare correttamente la storia dell’aggressione distorcendo la verità e la realtà storica. “Cercano di cancellare la linea tra giusto e sbagliato, dicono che il nero è bianco, travisando l’aggressione come la giustizia, considerando i criminali di guerra nazisti come eroi. Questo provoca dolore e l’orrore nei cuori della gente”, ha detto l’ambasciatore. La Russia terrà il 9 maggio la sua parata annuale in occasione del Giorno di vittoria, per commemorare il 70esimo anniversario della vittoria sulla Germania nazista. Circa 26 capi di Stato hanno confermato la loro intenzione di recarsi a Mosca e unirsi ai festeggiamenti.

The ambassador said China is disappointed that some countries fail to correctly judge the history of aggression by distorting truth and historical fact. "They try to erase the line between right and wrong, say that black is white, misrepresent aggression as justice, regard Nazi war criminals as heroes. This causes pain and horror in hearts of the people," the ambassador said. A poll conducted by ICM for Sputnik and published Tuesday revealed that 13 percent of Europeans think the Soviet Army played the key role in liberating Europe from fascism during the World War II. Up to 24 percent of EU citizens polled could not say who played the major role in changing the course of the war. The Soviet Union's World War II civilian and military casualties exceeded 27 million. Russia is holding its annual Victory Day parade on May 9, 2015 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany. Some 26 state leaders have confirmed their intention to visit Moscow and join the celebrations.
